Day School

Day School is Charlottesville's premium drop-off training program. Day School offeres a structured program of play, training, enrichment, and confidence building. Our force-free training philosophy continues in our group play handling techniques. Limited Enrollment ensures individual attention for each dog. Trusted staff and a proven program make Day School top-notch.

The Day School Curriculum was thoughfully designed by Head Trainer/ Owner Valerie Balwanz. Years of experience working with dogs provided valuable insight and guilded the devlopment of the Day School Program.

Monday - Thursday Day school is open to graduates of Puppy Day School, members of the Saturday Private Dog Park and by invitation. Tiny Tuesday is reserved for small breeds only.

​

Puppy Day School on Fridays is for any breed of puppy under 24 weeks of age. The Day School facility is fully sanitized, making it safe for puppies to attend School before they are finished with vaccinations.

• Play-n-Train sessions balanced with nap time

• 5,000 sq ft of fully sanitized play space

At Day School, these training topics are emphasized:

• Potty training (for the puppies)

• 4 on the floor (Sit instead of jumping up)

Rates

• Half Day $65 (4 hours)

• Full Day $130 (9 hours)

Puppy Day School:

Fridays Only

Full day,8-5

Half Day 8-12 or 1-5

• For Puppies 8-24 weeks of age.

• Puppies must be up to date for their age on their vaccines, they do not need to be fully vaccinated. Read HERE for more info about socialization before vaccination is complete

Day School:

​

For Graduates of Puppy Day School, Members of Saturday Private Dog Park and by Invitation

Dogs are 25 weeks or older

Proof of vaccination required

Monday: Large Breeds

Full Day 8:30-5:30

Half day 8:30-12:30 or 1:30-5:30

 

Tiny Tuesday: Small Breeds

Half Day 8:30-12:30 

 

Wednesday: Large Breeds

Half Day 8:30-12:30

 

Thursday: Large Breeds

Half Day 8:30-12:30

​Extras:

• After School is available to Puppies on Fridays only

  • Extend your puppy’s day by adding “After School”.  After School is available after 5pm in half-hour increments for an additional $10/half hour up until 7p

• Early Drop Off is available for Day School

  • Mon - Thurs at 8am, add $10​

• Bring a blanket or towel from home (for naptime)
